Were there other versions of the Nintendo DS?

I just bought one used for my son and I went out and got "Action Replay" that comes with a USB cable. However the adapter of the cable is tiny while the slot on my DS is a lot larger. Did they switch connector types or what? Do I need an earlier cable? What would that be called? Thanks for the help.

  1. The little cable you speak of is for the Action Replay, not the DS console itself.

The Action Replay should come with the USB connector cable, the installation disc and the Action Replay itself.

Simply plug in the USB in your PC and the installation disc and follow the instructions that is also included. If this doesn't work, then look in your computer properties for 'newly found hardware/software' and it should be in there.

  2. actualy the USB id ment for the little slot in the action replay, and you are suposed to instal the code manager to the computer. once that is done, you have to copy and past the codes to the game its made for on the code manager or you can put the codes in manualy. the area that you tryed puting it in is the charger. just put the plug in that came with it into the plugin on the wall and put the smaller one into the ds's charging plugin and your all set! or just go on codejunkies.com and check out the FAQs

  3. Maybe you bought the wrong Action Replay like the one for the Gameboy Advance, because the GBA one doesn't work with the DS one.
