Were there sharks and fish swimming in the flood waters of katrina you would think so

wouldn't dolphins and shark and fish and such be found in flood waters expesally i recently visited new orleans and there is mostly ocean waters all around and i thought of it just wondering.

  2. Fish yes. I heard of a shark being here, but it would have to travel far inland, as New Orleans isn't directly on the coast and the Gulf of Mexico is very shallow for quite a bit. However, there were lots of snakes, and there were alligators. The part of the area that recieved a tidal surge, well most of the water from that was swamp water and you know what lives there :/

  3. Sure, why not? They've caught sharks way up the Mississippi River, hundreds of miles from the ocean. I'm not sure dolphins would swim around in flood waters; they're probably too smart for that. But sharks and other fish - sure.
