Were these the truth ?

Question

1. Barcelona Olympic - the last athletes that using a bow and arrow to light up the flame, was actually missed (the flame was designed to be lighten up once the arrow 'almost' there) ?

2. Sydney Olympic - the whole orchestra play was also "mimed" ?

1) i think you will find that the athlete that lit up the flame with the bow and arrow was actually blind, so it wouldn't suprise me to learn that it was fake!

2) who would have thought! and perhaps nikki webster is just a 30 year old midget!

I think the arrow was on a string or something. But yea all true

The cauldron in Barcelona was set to ignite automatically as the arrow reached it.  I don't know if the arrow actually missed the target but they certainly weren't relying on that to light the cauldron.  Yes the orchestra was pre recorded.\

When you have the world watching you don't leave things to chance so often parts of a performance will be rigged in some way to ensure success.
