Who else agrees that the umpires couldn't make a call at all, probably the worst umpiring i have seen in a long time.

  1. Umpires are c**p at every AFL game. They don't know the rules and they give poor decisions.

  2. yep spot on thats why i prefer the nrl now

  3. I dont think it was any more c**p than usual......thats to say its always c**p, and very inconsistent.

i thought it was pretty funny though when Kane Johnson pointed out that he was tackled high to the ump....and it was paid! If he hadnt pointed to his shoulder it would have been play on....what the?

Another brave loss by the Tigers.....sigh

  4. Yeh they were heapz c**p! Matty Pavlich did kick that goal that wasn't counted. I was there at the match and those umpires sucked. They were booed between quarters ^_^

    hahaha GO FREO!!!!!!!

  5. I have been on this topic for a long time now. I totally agree with you. I am fed up with the bullsh*t decisions and soft free kicks.

  6. The game is Aussie "DODGY " RULES,...umpires dont intentionally cheat ...they are just simply the SCAPEGOATS ...of the A.F.L. and for  the "Big Head" former players, now so called  media experts, ...THE SELF OPINIATED PUPS of the game, who join rules committee's and think up the  new dodgy rules .  Someone told me, that the woman,.. C.Wilson who writes for the AGE is on the the rules committee ....I mean honestly, if that is true,.... surely you must feel bad "Blaming Umpires " rather looking at the real  CAUSE !!

  7. I'm never happy when Freo win so obviously the umpiring was attrocious. Seriously though what is the deal, my amateur games have a higher level of umpiring than the AFL and sometimes its just some fat old guy from the crowd!

  8. Although maybe not the worst I have seen there was certainly a bit of the home ground advantage with the umpires.

Particulary interstate grounds the crowd are mostly dominate, compared to venues in Victoria, which has a much larger amount of 'even-ness' of the supporters.

Therefore a ground in which 90-95% of people scream out for a decision is much more likely to have it given rather than one with only 50-60%.

That is what can be called the home ground umpiring. It doesn't always happen much, but when it happens it can certainly be seen as was the case in some parts of today.
