Personally, I don't like shareware. I prefer open source and freeware. Try 7zip. It does everything Winrar does, but it's truly free.

Or, if you just want to try 7zip out without bothering to install, you can use the portable version:

Just extract it to any directory, use it, and if you don't like it, just delete the directory. Simple!
