  1. You should be really mean and put it on the outside of the cage. JK LOL.

Usually on the bottom level or the level they are mostly on is where you put it. If you put it on the one they are mostly on then when they get fat and slow it's easier for them to eat.

  2. Where is it at now? When you put your hamsters in this cage where did you place it? If you move it around they may carry it back to where they started out with it. If you put their food on the other floors it will make more of a mess then what you may want. The floor is more their living space and the other floors would be more for playing. It would be kinda like putting the kitchen in the crows nest. When I moved my dogs dish she would go back and sit on the floor where it use to be. I put it back. She was use to it being there. But then again to a hamster as long as it eats it may not care where it's at. Place it where it looks good to you and see how it works. Good luck.

  3. Well if you put the bowl at the bottom, when they knock it over it won't fall as far.

  4. More than likely you are gonna want to put it on the bottom because the hamsters like to burrow with there food. They like to get on the bottom in the corners and bury food like they are hiding the food.

  5. put it on the bottom because hamsters like to horde their food where they sleep and thats the easiest place to get it
