  1. yes they were have you read about roman history and the celts and the germanic tribes

  2. Every race shares a common ancestry, and the first people lived in tribes. So yes.

  3. Good!  The roots of ethnicity are always in the tribes.  Why not make a symbol of what your ethnic tribal roots actually were.  Hold it in your hand and project the thought into it -- "My actual tribal origins from ancient times."  Touch it every morning.

  4. uuuum, ya even b4 the roman times but the roman times themselves werent tribal in most of the main roman empire, it was germany and france and britain and spain that had the white ppl tribes. but then they broke up and blended and became civilized. but every body was barbaric and/or tribal at some point in history

  5. The ancient Celts were divided into tribes or "clans."

  6. Of course.  The most easily recognized by name are the Scottish clans.  The word clan in Scotland is very similar to the use of the word tribe  to describe the loose-knit  Indian groupings.  It is really an extended family that expands by marriage and adoption and "political" expediency. The size and power of a clan or tribe was constantly changing.

All people originally came from tribes, humans are social or herd animals and at best  do poorly  when not in a group.

  7. "EDIT"

Sorry that was a pretty lame answer before and I would like to rephrase it. First of all the Anglos, Saxons, Scottish, Franks, Goths ect. were all separate tribes. I would recomend reading books on Roman history as it lists the various Germanic and Celtic tribes the Romans encountered. Also if you can find it at your local library there is a book called "Ages of Man: Barbarian Europe" which is about the period between the fall of the Roman Empire and the rise of Charlemagne. It too will list a variety of Germanic tribes that founded the various European nations. You do not have to go back all the way to our African ancestors (if that is where our ancestors came from) to find primative tribal life. I would also suggest getting some books on Late Stone Age to Early Copper age Europe. That would definitely give you an idea of what tribal life was like for our (I am Germanic and Celtic) ancestors at that time. As for some basic ideas of what life was like for them, the climate would have required animal skins and furs to be worn (sorry no dancing naked around a fire). Diet would have been comprised mainly of venison and fish supplemented by whatever edible nuts, berries, onions and mushrooms they could gather. I hope that this is a better answer than what I wrote before.

  8. of course. the romans came from the latin tribes, there were also the illyrian tribes, etc.

Th Guanches are interesting topic since not much is known about them. There are several books on their language and script, all in Spanish and quite difficult to obtain outside a library.

  9. Oh, h**l yes. Just read some Roman history and you'll learn about the tribes that the Celtic and Germanic people were in.

  10. There were many Tribes in Great Britain.Boudicca and her Husband were King and Queen of The Icinis. There were two other main Neighbouring Tribes who lived in and around East Anglia. They were all of White orientation and would create wars between themselves. They became one Army when the Romans invaded Britain.

  11. The word tribe is very complicated and doesn't really mean what most people think it does. For example the !Kung people in the Kalahari desert are often referred to as a tribe(they have several hundred members). However,  the Zulu are also referred to as a tribe, although they have around 10 million members. Tribe is used to describe one way that people organize themselves politically. A tribe is a descent and kinship-based group in which subgroups(or bands) are clearly linked to one another. Thus they have the potential of uniting a large number of local groups for common defense or warfare. Horticulture typifies the subsistence technology (i.e. how they obtain food) of tribes . People within tribes who attain prestige according to cultural standards may be seen as leaders. The big-man institution is quite common in tribes.

For the first part of your question when you say "white people" you are referring to a racial label. As any world traveler could tell you, you can change this racial designation by simply hopping on a plane. In Brazil a person that an American (USA) might consider to be black would be considered moreno which is a racial classification similar to "white" in the USA.  Therefore by using the words "tribe" and "white people" you are not using the first word correctly and you're using a term with no concrete meaning (white people).  If you really want to know your origins, I suggest you buy a swab kit from National Geographic's Genographic Project and find out for sure! DNA doesn't lie!

  12. In Europe, not since the Celts during the Roman era.

But, the Guanches of the Canary islands were living in a stone age tribal society when the Spanish arrived in the 1400's. Wearing hides,  using stone tools,  very basic pottery.

They were described as a handsome, tall people witha great many blonds in their number.
