  1. Done both. definitly the Assisted living facility. more of a learning experience. and better advancement oppurtunities.

  2. Looks like I'm bucking the trend here, but I'll say McDonalds.  I worked there in '74 and honestly loved the job.  Made a few good friends there too.  You really did get change back from your dollar.  A hamburger was 14 cents.

  3. oh dear gosh McDonald's!!!!!!!  Have you ever had old people as customers? They are the worst *generally, there are some nice ones*

  4. McDonalds, I think.

Have you ever watched people eat in an old folks home? Eww

  5. I would rather work in the kitchen of an old folks home

  6. Old folks home

  7. nursing home

  8. If I really had to decide between those two or starve, I guess I'd go for the old folks home.  At least in the kitchen I'd be out of the main events and the worst thing I'd have to clean up would be dirty plates.  And I think I'd find it easier to forgive the rudeness and insults of old people than the rudeness and insults of McDonalds customers.

  9. I've worked at both, old folks home is better. you can meet some very interesting people, better hours, and no teenagers to anoy you.

  10. most likely in mcdonals!

  11. Ronald is insane! Save the babies from the virus! Save the babies form the virus!

  12. I too would rather die, but if I didn't have to see the old people I would work there

  13. I'd rather die

  14. old folks home.

  15. the old folks home...Mc Donald's is a punishment...lmoa..i would never ever go there lol

  16. I would rather work at a Nursing Home. At least wouldn't smell of stale fries and be embarrsed flipping burgers.

  17. Definitely at McDonald's so I could work as manager and help improve their poor quality of customer service.

  18. I've been a nurse for 40 years.  Pick McDonald's.  The grass is greener there.  I've had just about as much as I can take of sick old people and especially their relatives.

  19. old folks home. less drama, more personal.

  20. It would not matter to me as a job is a job.  Why would it make a difference.  Work is work. There is nothing wrong nor any shame in working at either place.  It amazes me how many people look down upon others working in either place.  Everyone should have a job.....everyone will become old one day and what is wrong with either place. Have worked at McDonald's and it was good experience.

  21. I RATHER WORK IN A OLD FOLKS HOME IN THE KITCHEN BECAUSE U DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH ALL THOSE YOUNG KIDS THAT WORK AT MCDONALDS

  22. Old folks home.

    1) I would probably not run into my friends.

    2) I could meet/help some nice older people.

    3) Could move up to a better position someday.

  23. the senior home  kitchen

  24. McDonalds.  Old folks homes are smelly and depressing.

  25. I would rather work at McDonald's because you would get to see a large variety of people.  My local McDonald's hires "older" folks.  I have a neighbor who worked there after her husband died.  She was able to make enough money to keep her home and continue living there.

  26. Go for the nursing home kitchen.  When you work fast food you get less pay, and have to work around more people (the general public) who will treat you badly if they "feel like it".  It is a zero respect job.  A nursing home will pay a little more, and you deal less with people in general.  Mostly, you will be back in the kitchen cooking with a few co-workers, or you will be doing dishes.  The "old folks" you do have to deal with will probably make you start to see people in a different light as well.  You will start to become friends with them.  Your hours will be better as well, and probably be pretty regular as opposed to fast food who will throw you all over the schedule.
