We live in Hempstead and recieved plenty of rain but it was way over due

I live in Baytown and I slept completely through it. It was the first tropical storm we've had since I moved into my house, and I am so glad that it didn't flood here! You're right, we needed the rain. It also felt so nice and cool outside this afternoon.

Well I am not in Houston and have been hearing about all the mess you guys are dealing with. It has been nothing but HOT, 108 degrees today and yesterday, and DRY! Hope all is well with you and you don't get badly hit!

infected by the storm in a good way - We needed the rain - It was cooler weather (just a bit) - didn't have to run my ac on high - WE were blessed because others got A LOT worse.
