Were you offended at Cheney's Joke about West Virginia?

Cheney recently implied (through humor) that incest is rife in West Virginia. Of course, the joke about WV is old. I've heard it since I was a young man. This is the latest stupid "controversy" in my opinion. Some people are too thin skinned and willing to make an issue out of anything.

I wasn't offended by the remark, but then he added something like "when you're not up for re-election, you can say things."  Wasn't offended by that remark, either.  I hope he keeps 'saying things' and showing we were right about him all this time.

I was offended that the second most powerful person who represents our government would denigrate one of our states in public.  I don't care if it was a joke but it showed just how little respect the Bush cabal has for the USA and its citizens.

However, this guy has always been a weird spooky nutjob and it's to be expected that weird, spooky, inappropriate stuff comes out of his drunken mouth.

I live in kentucky, so incest jokes don't rattle me in the least lol. I hear them alot, it seemed like it was in good nature, not fueled by malice or ill feelings toward anyone. Just a joke that slipped out, forgive and forget.

Personally, I was not.  It was certainly off-color.  But it is what we have come to expect from an a$$hole with a pea-sized brain.  Maybe no brain at all....
