Inasmuch as my money was on Brass Hat, yes, but he was clearly one of the ones. I was more surprised that Wanderin Boy, who came in 2nd, was so completely ignored at the windows.

He won the Whitney Handicap, a Breeder's Cup qualifying race. He is a good horse, I was not very surprised.

Hmm Lawyer Ron hasn't won any Breeder's Cups.  He did win the Whitney Handicap, the first of the Breeder's Cup "Win and You're In" races in the Classic division.

I don't know if his win was surprising, the field was fairly evenly matched.  His time and the mild controversy surrounding it were somewhat surprising.  It will be interesting to see how he and the other runners from the Whitney fair during the rest of the season.

he ran a perfect race! broke the record, am i surprised, heck no! hes just now coming into his own and probably will win 2-3 more BIG races
