I pretty much already know exactly what day I'm going to be proposed to. I don't mind that, but it just emphasizes how unromantic me and my boyfriend are.. haha.

  1. Romance shmomance!  I knew that it was coming but didn't know when, and he still did it in a romantic, sweet surprising way.

I think these days most people do know that it's coming...so you're not alone!

  2. well i was home and my husband( boyfriend at that time told me to came oevr) i uselly do came to his house all the time so i thought he was just lazy to actually came get me. when i came he gave me flowers and proposed to meit was very romantic and the love that we have 4 eachother is even stronger then ever after we got married

  3. I was never really proposed to. I picked out my ring but thats ok becuase i love it.

  4. I knew it was coming yet it was still a very nice surprize on how he did it.

  5. I had NO clue.

My fiance and I had been going back and forth for 3 years about marriage, he was just "never ready". And out of the BLUE he proposed. It was perfect.

  6. I knew already--I picked out my own ring.  I just wished he would have proposed a little better to me.  He asked me to marry him while I was driving; when we were at a red light!!!!!

  7. We had been talking about getting married already, and had actually been planning to go to the Clerk of Courts the next week to get it done. While I was at work he texted me "White or Yellow gold?"

I was trying "not to assume", but really, what else could it have possible mean?

A few nights later, when we were in my room he said "I know it's not much of a surprise, but here, I hope you like it."

I was speechless.... The ring was huge!

So, even though we already planned on getting "hitched", it was still cute and emotional. Plus he had the surprise of the ring still under wraps. I can't believe he spent that much money on a piece of jewlery (i'm not big on wearing ANY jewlery) but I am honored to wear that ring for him.

  8. Totally surprised as i thought he would never ask - men ha ha! Living in London at the time we went to Paris for the weekend. My first visit to the Eiffel tower, and there he was on bended knee , it was beautiful and romantic. If its good enough for Katie Holmes : )  It doesn't matter if you know when, that will add to the "story" when you tell it...It also sounds like that's what your both like?! And who knows maybe its all part of his  BIG plan............ enjoy it and Good luck !!

  9. I got proposed to on Sunday  and I was TOTALLY surprised!!

  10. I knew he was picking out on a ring a few months before but I didnt know exactly which day he was going to propose. He did it on Christmas day while we were walking along the beach (our favourite hide-out). The place was totally deserted. Maybe everyone was in the city celebrating. This is very romatic of my bf, considering the fact that he is a totally unromatic person. I never understood y gals cry at the sight of a diamond ring until that moment when I was proposed to. its so not about the ring, its your man asking u to marry him :)

  11. Yes, at the proposal itself. We had been dating seriously and talked about marriage - we knew we would get married, but the actual proposal was a surprize.

  12. I knew too!  I felt so bad because my fiance had done such a good job planning a whole romantic day and a party the next day with both our families to celebrate, but I totally saw it coming (well not the party).

My fiance is so romantic, but we've been together for 4 years now (he proposed in April).  He proposed the day I moved in with him (and out of university) and we had been doing long distance for 8 months while I was finishing university and he started his PhD at a different university.

I had a feeling it was coming, and I know him, and that although he loves planning romantic surprises, he's really bad at keeping them from me (because he gets so excited).  So the day he went to design my ring he dropped a little hint accidentally, and then for the next month there were just the little things that added up to "it's definitely coming".  I thought it was either going to be the day we moved in together or our 4th anniversary which was 2 months later.

He told me to make sure I had a fancy outfit unpacked for the day I moved in because he wanted to make me dinner to celebrate us living together, so then I REALLY knew it was coming.

I was surprised the way he did it (he asked me to help in with the dessert in the kitchen and I walked in and he was on one knee) but I really knew it was happening (me and my best friend has basically celebrated the night before - she was sooo convinced it was coming she convinced me even more. lol).   A few days later I had to admit to him I knew it was coming, because I just couldn't keep it a secret and I think lying to him would have been worse.

But it was still the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

  13. we were already engaged but "unofficially" because he didnt want to make it official until he had the ring....

I knew the ring was ordered (it's custom made)

I had an idea when it came in

I knew he had something big planned

but then at the last minute, he couldnt wait and proposed while we were digging through boxes of my childhood room haha...it was kinda sweeter though b/c I used to imagine as a kid being proposed to in that room

  14. I knew it was coming, but I wasn't sure exactly when it would happen.

  15. I think the sonogram was a big clue....ha ha

  16. I had a hunch but he still caught me off guard!
