Is the only reason people think of MLK, Jr as someone heroic in the civil rights struggle because he died.

Wouldn't he and Jesse have similar beliefs?

  1. just cause soemones your firend doesnt mean your beliefs are the same

  2. "I have dream" and it was way before the Internet... Jessie has come along and lost his way... civil rights are still needed in this country for all people... but without a strong following and a message: "It's time for a change"ahem... Jessie doesn't have a snowball in H#!! in staying up with the times!!

Check out the pics with him and MLK! He was at the right place at the right time... and having a good time is not gonna instill confidence in most people! After MLK was shot some of the "house ******" did just that... stayed at home and let the "others" do the footwork! I dunno, that's just my opinion! most of these young kids don't know strife from the moment Afro Americans landed in this great country, (ahem)... they have everything and more now... I glad that there are folks who are doing  more than make empty vows and platitudes... I'm hoping Obama doesnt fold under this crushing pressure to do what he needs to do for everybody in this country! the rich the poor, the down trodden, the black, the yellow, the white and the red! Mexican and Europeans, the Muslim, the Christian and the Non-believer...

  3. 1. No

Reverend King was already WELL admired for his work with civil rights BEFORE he was murdered in cold blood.

While I appreciate a few of the things that Mr. Jackson has done, he is more of a "Camera Junkie"

King would have done what he was doing whether or not anyone was watching.

I'm not sure I can say the same for Jackson.

  4. This is a good question.  I think that Jackson was in some of MLK's marches but I have never seen their names linked.

Dr. King was an intelligent man,  with a vision of a better world. He had a plan on how to make his dream a reality that was working quite well when he was murdered. He  was a close friend to Bobby Kennedy, another great man, who was also murdered.

Dr King was one of those truly great men with the ability to move mountains from a single speech. His writings still have a very powerful impact today on both black and white people. Jessie Jackson tries hard but he just doesn't seem to have the same charisma. He made a big blunder today when he mouthed off about Obama over an open mike. He is critical of Obama because Obama said that black men need to take more responsibility in raising the children they produce.  That sounds like a plan to me, but Jessie wants to cut off Baracks jewels for saying it.

I doubt that MLK ,Jr.would have said that and would most likely agree with Obama.
