  2. Yes they had the same mother and father, they also both had children by King Henry the VIII

  3. Yes, Mary and Anne Boley were sisters by the same parents. Historians are still debating which one was the first born, however it seems clear that Mary Boleyn, was older than Anne. Mary’s children clearly believed their mother had been the elder sister as did Anne’s daughter, Elizabeth. It was generally believed that Mary, Anne and George was born in this order respectively by Thomas Boleyn and  Elizabeth Boleyn:

    Mary Boleyn, mistress of Henry VIII (c. 1499 – July 19, 1543).

Anne Boleyn, Queen Consort of Henry VIII of England (c. 1501/1507 – May 19, 1536 )

    George Boleyn, Viscount Rochford (c. 1504 – May 17, 1536).

  4. they had the same parents, Thomas Boleyn who came from merchant stock and Irish nobility(Butlers) and Elizabeth Howard, the daughter and sister of Dukes of Norfolk, whose ancestry was the old nobility of England.

There was also a brother, George Boleyn, who married Jane Parker, another nouveau riche merchant's heir. Mary was similarly married off to William Carey, of uncertain ancestry but some influence, and it was planned that Anne would marry her Butler cousin James, but that fell through.

Mary's children Henry, Viscount Hunsdon, and Katharine Knollys, were lifelong friends as well as cousins - perhaps half brother and sister - to Elizabeth I, Anne's daughter.

Hope this clears up the question.

  5. Yes, they were full siblings, sharing the same biological father and mother, along with their brother George.

And on a side note : I wouldn't say William Carey was of 'uncertain' ancestry. Hardly at all. His father, Thomas Carey, had married Margaret, the co-heiress of Sir Robert Spencer (her sister Catherine was the wife of Henry Algernon Percy, 5th Earl of Northumberland) and his wife Eleanor, daughter of Edmund Beaufort, 1st Duke of Somerset, which gives any descendant of Mary Boleyn and William Carey a legitimate descent through Edward III.

William's elder brother, Sir John was the ancestor of the current Viscount Falkland (Lucius Edward William Plantagenet Cary - b. 1935). The Carey ancestry is well covered under the Falkland title in Burke's.

  6. Yes, they were full sisters, daughters of Thomas Boleyn, eventually Earl of Wiltshire, and his wife, Elizabeth Howard.  Most historians believe that Mary was the older of the two.

  7. Yes, Mary Boleyn and Anne Boleyn were real sisters.

  8. No.

Mary and Elizabeth were half sisters.

    Anne Boylen was Elizabeth's mom.

Anne's husband was the king, which also had Anne beheaded.
