Weres the nearest holiday resort to Barcelona?

Im going there shortly but would also like to visit another resort. Any suggestions please would be great. thanks in advance.

Possibly the nearest and best known to the South of Barcelona, would be Sitges, with Tarragona & Salou a bit further away.    In the other direction, there are quite a number within easy reach.   The resorts of the Costa Brava, like Calella, Pineda, Malgret, Lloret & Tossa de Mar can all be reached by either bus, train or bus & train.   Of those the furthest away is Tossa, which if travelled to by bus only takes 1hr 10mins approx.
