Wesley Koolhof defeats Shuichi Sekiguchi in the initial qualifier round – Toyota Challenger 2012 CH 
Right-hander Dutch, Wesley Koolhof, bounced over the local challenger, Shuichi Sekiguchi, in the initial qualifying round of the 2012 Dunlop World Challenge Tennis Tournament on Saturday. Koolhof consolidated his success in a tough
three-set battle against his rival at the hard courts of Toyota, Japan.
The two contenders took nearly one hour and 58 minutes in terminating their match.
The 21-year-old Japanese took advantage of his home ground and bravely drew the first blood by marking a 3-1 lead by the end of the fourth game. The two players displayed remarkable skills by preserving their serves the entire
time. However, Sekiguchi continued his lead and did not even give a single chance to his rival to dominate. Towards the end, he swiftly pocketed away the last two games, marking a 6-4 score line.
The Dutch participant did not lose optimism and he displayed his better-quality experience by cashing on his challenger’s first serve in the second game. He smoothly made his way forward by dusting away his challenger’s serve breaks.
He availed his opponent’s serve twice without making a single mistake. Koolhof dragged himself out of the equalizer with a breadstick, avenging his former loss.
The players displayed identical initial serve accuracy of 73 percent but the Dutch took the lead by snatching two of three break points. He strengthened his win by attaining 13 of 16 first and four of six second serve points.
In the final set, the two rivals desperately fought against one another and continuously squared down the score boarder, showing their eagerness to win. Both right-handers held their serves the entire time. Towards the end, the
Dutch secured the lead by cashing his lone break opportunity, marking a 7-5 triumph.
The 23-year-old Dutch native has a low initial serve precision of 46 percent with 16 of 23 first and 16 of 27 second serve points. He was able to clamp the lead by securing one of the four serve breaks, whereas the other contender
could not attain even one. The local challenger grabbed away 54 percent first serve precision with 15 of 22 first and 11 of 19 second serve points.
