Wesley Sneijder: I will be sold if Inter Milan receive the right offer – Serie A Transfer Update
Inter Milan’s star playmaker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799, has been quoted as saying that the Italians would sell him if the right amount is offered to them. The midfielder is linked strongly to a move to English Champions, Manchester United, since the beginning of
the ongoing summer transfer window, while Manchester City have also joined the acquisition race.
There have been numerous reports regarding the possible transfer of the 27-year-old to Old Trafford but United have rejected any possibility of signing the player. Sir Alex Ferguson has repeatedly clarified that Sneijder is not a part of his acquisition
list during this summer transfer market.
However, numerous sources have claimed that the Red Devils are keen on bringing in Sneijder. Towards the end of July, reports claimed that the Nerazzurri playmaker has signed for United for a 35 million Euros transfer fee and a 230,000 Euros a week contract.
However, there were no official statements from San Siro and Old Trafford and the rumours dissolved.
On the other hand, the Dutch footballer was recently talking to Voetbal International Magazine where he revealed he will be sold if the Nerazzurri receive the right price.
"All I know is that Inter need money and apparently I'm for sale for the right amount. I've not spoken with City or United so I cannot say anything about my future. Next week I play with the Oranje against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and then I have five days off. I hope that
then everything will be cleared up." He said.
Moreover, the Italian newspaper, La Gazzetta dello Sport, claimed that Sneijder has been signed by Manchester City, on Friday. However, the City boss, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, clarified that there has been no such development as yet and said that they might think
of that in the future.
"No. It is not true. He is an http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan player. We never spoke about him. We need to complete our squad. We have another 23 days until the end of the market in order to achieve the target we had at the start of pre-season." He concluded.
