The Nerazzurri manager alerts Manchester United by substituting the former Real Madrid star after half-time against Lecce

off the former Real Madrid star because he is not involved in their preferred role.
While talking to the reporters, Claudio Ranieri said,
“At the moment we are better with the 4-4-2 and this is why I took off Sneijder so we went back to the system we feel is more our own. Sneijder needs to be free to roam and I cannot force him to play out wide.”
The Nerazzurri boss is targeting a third-place finish for his team and insists that UEFA Champions League qualification is his main objective. The veteran manager hailed his team’s remarkable comeback in the league after winning
seven games in a row.

Ranieri’s comments will spark rumours of Sneijder’s exit from San Siro, as Manchester United will be alerted with the playmaker’s situation. United have been linked with the former Ajax star since the summer transfer window, and
they might try their luck with a cheeky bid for his services before the end of the January transfer window.
Inter are also looking to cash in on the talented midfielder and a bid in the region of 25 million Euros might take him away from Inter.
