The Nerazzurri head-coach once again denies a rift with the former Real Madrid star; regards the attacking-midfielder as an important member of his squad.

La Beneamata have been in poor run of form, having lost seven of their last eight matches in all competitions. Critics have blasted Ranieri for his use of Sneijder, as the tactician has substituted the Dutchman at half-time in
several matches. It is believed that the former Ajax star is not in the plans of Ranieri, and he himself said in a recent interview that he is duty bound to select the playmaker.
However, the veteran tactician has denied that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international gives him a selection headache, and admitted that the midfielder is not having the best of seasons.
While talking to the reporters, Ranieri said:
“Sneijder has to play behind one or two strikers and be allowed to invent his football there. It’s not right to say he is a problem. Let’s just say it’s not his best season. He needs to be dealt with in a certain way.”
The former Juventus boss has urged the fans and players for their support, and believes that they can only get out of this turmoil with their help.
“Problems must be overcome and confidence is important. There are problems at Inter, otherwise they wouldn’t have fired Gian Piero Gasperini, but I must point out things were worse when I arrived. Even if we struggle to win now,
we need to get out of this with the aid of club, players and fans. The supporters did jeer, it’s true, but they are in any case pushing us on.”
Inter Milan will host Catania in their next game at San Siro on Sunday, March 04, 2012. The string of defeats has taken the Nerazzurri to 7th spot in the league table, and a loss against Vincenzo Montella’s men might
put them further down in the standings. Inter will be looking to get some wins under their belts to secure UEFA Europa League qualification.
