Wesley Sneijder keen to stay with Inter Milan and eyes Coppa Italia victory – Serie A Update
Inter Milan attacking midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799, is keen to stay with the last season’s treble winners for the upcoming 2011/12 season. The Dutchman believes that the Coppa Italia final game against Palermo in Rome will not be his last appearance for the
Nerazzurri.
The transfer market is full of rumours connecting Sneijder to the English elites, Manchester United, as the Serie A giants are reckoned to compromise the Dutch International in the summer window for new acquisitions. The Red Devils are keen on luring the
attacking midfielder to Old Trafford as their midfield legends, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985, are in the twilight of their careers.
However, while talking to the Italian news network, Corriere dello Sport, Sneijder dismissed any possibilities of leaving the Nerazzurri in this summer transfer window. The attacking midfielder claimed, “I’ll be here at San Siro for the next season.”
Since his arrival at San Siro in 2009 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567’s forward block and is one of the most lethal attacking midfielders in the game. However, during the past few weeks, he has struggled to find his best
form, something he is desperate to reclaim.
Sneijder, despite having trouble with his fitness, is keen to play his role in the Serpents’ final game of the season against Palermo and is optimistic for the final’s outcome. The Dutch international said:
“I’ve been training with the squad without any problems. I’ll certainly be there against Palermo. I want to play and win the Coppa Italia so that we can end the season in a good manner.”
Inter have had a bad term as compared to their last years run, where they bagged the treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League. In the 2010/11 season, they failed to save their Scudetto and UEFA Champions League titles. Now they have a chance
to make up for the lost confidence and glory, and the men in the black and blue jerseys are keen to win the Italian Cup and give the fans something to cheer about. The two teams meet at Stadio Olimpico in Rome on May 30, 2011, to decide the Italian Cup champions.
