The 2012 spring/summer Keeneland meet experienced an 11.42% attendance on the high side than last year, and even the all sources handle on Keeneland was shot up to a whopping 13.85% high with $133,483,793 in 2012 meet compare to $117,240,930 in the 2011
spring/summer meet.
The 2012 spring race meet ended on 27 April, 2012, with new records set regarding attendance and wagering, but during the 15 day meet, it was the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes day which attracted more attention, and with its advent, it was a record single day

The rider, who will ride the leading contender of the Kentucky Derby, Union Rags, Julien Leparoux has been declared the most successful jockey of the Keeneland 2012 spring meet with 23 wins.
With the meet win under his belt, Julien Leparoux has now gone on to win eighth meet title overall, but it was his fifth spring meet title.
Trainer Wesley Ward, who enjoyed time at Keeneland this spring notched the best trainer title there, which turned out to be his first title at Keeneland.
The trainer sent out, Gypsy Robin, who won two stakes races for his conditioner, including a win in the Grade 2 Beaumont Stakes, while it was Warren’s horse who was responsible for the biggest upset of the meet, when the 70 to 1 shot, All Squared Away romped
home to win the Grade 3 Coolmore Lexington Stakes.
The owner standings were dominated by Ken and Sarah Ramsey, who nabbed their 10th title of the Keeneland meet.
