West Brom Albion vs Wigan Athletic – cancel each other out with two goals a piece
West Brom Albion took on Wigan Athletic at The Hawthorns, in a game that was a must win for both teams, who are currently in a battle to stay out of the relegation zone.

The match kicked off with West Brom going all out early on. The home-side were looking rather deadly in the opening few minutes and as a result of this early threat they eventually found the back of the net in the 4th minute.
Jerome Thomas led the counter attack for the home-side and went on to feed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Peter-Odemwingie-c29794 with a killer pass, the forward then went on to slot the ball into the back of the net to give West Brom an early lead.
Nonetheless, in the 20th minute, Wigan pulled a goal back. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 N'Zogbia stepped up to take a free-kick for Wigan and thumped his effort goal-wards. The ball took a hefty deflection off a defender and went on to fly past Myhill and into the back of the net.
However, just when it looked like the game would run into the half time break with the score card reading one all, Wigan took the lead.
On the 42nd minute, Watson took a free-kick from the left hand side of the pitch. The ball managed to go well over everyone and then managed to nestle into the back of the net, with no one getting a touch on the ball.
It was unclear as to what Myhill was thinking in the West Brom goal, but that didn't matter to the visitors, who had the lead.
In the second-half, both sides looked to battle it out to their limits. West Brom was looking to get things level, while Wigan were looking for the third goal to end the game as a contest.
In the 79th minute, it was the home-side, who eventually scored the next goal of the game. Jerome Thomas whipped in a killer ball from the corner and Fortune rose the highest to meet the ball with his head and found the back of the net. As a result of the goal, both teams were level on the night.
The match eventually came to a close, with both sides being deadlocked at two goals apiece and as a result, both of them shared the points, which were awarded at the end of the game.
