West Bromwich Albion boss, Steve Clark, was extremely thwarted with his side’s 3-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City at Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, November 28.
The Swans dominated proceedings right from the first whistle, and grabbed a lead within the opening nine minutes of action through Michu. Two minutes later, Wayne Routledge doubled his side’s advantage with a neat strike. In the 39th minute, Routledge netted his second of the evening to give his side a three-goal lead.

Clark, who took over the managerial hot seat at the Hawthorns before the start of the ongoing campaign, was obviously disappointed with his side’s performance on the pitch, and revealed that he never expected to see his side conceded two goals so early in the game against the Swans.
“That was very unexpected. We started so slowly it was incredible, you wouldn't believe it. We know Swansea are a fantastic team and they play good football and we knew they would cause us problems. But I did not expect so many problems so early and when you are chasing the game it is going to be difficult”, the 49-year-old trainer was quoted as saying to the media in the post-match press conference.
The Baggies have commenced the 2012/13 season very impressively. Occupying the fourth spot in the league standings, they have secured brilliant results both at home and on the road.
And the Scottish mentor admitted that following his side’s impressive start to the season, they were confident of achieving a good result at Liberty Stadium.
“We have had a really good season, played really well. We came into the game confident, with more or less the same players and system, but that's football, it happens. They had a quick start, they got in front and we left ourselves too much to do to be honest”, Clark concluded.
