West Brom claim Peter Odemwingie not for sale as Arsenal make initial approach for the striker
West Bromwich Albion have gone on to state that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Chelsea are being linked with a move for the striker.
The Nigerian international made his way to West Brom from Lokomotiv Moscow, at the start of the previous season and has since managed to win fans over, all across Europe. The striker went on to score an impressive fifteen goals in his debut season and despite
being twenty nine years old, the forward seems to in top form.
West Brom’s technical director, Dan Ashworth recently went on to address the possibility of Odemwingie being sold by the club, as he went on to state: "Our aim is to retain our core players and try to strengthen our squad around them.”
"I want to make it clear that Peter Odemwingie is not for sale and remains a key member of our squad.
"We have not received any offers for Peter and we have placed no valuation on his head.
"He has two years left to run on his current Albion contract and talks over a new deal are ongoing."
Odemwingie is quite possibly one of the most underrated strikers in the Premier League at the moment. The forward, despite having a rather impressive debut in the English league and picking up goals along the way, has gone on to show just how versatile he
is this past season.
Not only can Odemwingie score goals at a regular pace, but he can create them just as well. The Nigerian also has the ability to use his pace to get past a defender or two with ease and despite not being one of the strongest forwards out there, he can hold
on to the ball, in order to link up play with the rest of his team.
Based on what the player has shown, a move to a bigger club like Arsenal and even http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 could prove to do wonders for both the player and the club, that he joins.
This is because, not only would the forward be able to play at the highest levels, he would also be able to use his experience to get the best possible results for his team.
Nonetheless, in order to get West Brom to part ways with the striker, is now going to be up to his possible suitors to make an offer that the team, just can’t refuse.
