West Bromwich Albion’s left back Liam Ridgewell has recently revealed his excitement on the permanent deal for goalkeeper Ben Foster, who spent last season with the Baggies on loan from Birmingham City.

Foster has previously undergone 6 loan spells in 10 seasons as a professional goalkeeper. Foster has been vital in West Brom’s Premier League campaign last season, putting in 37 appearances, managing ten clean sheets and helping the side to their best ever
Premier League defensive record, letting in only 52 goals in 38 games.
Foster had earlier spoken about his delight to having finally found a ‘home’. The player believes that this is a defining moment of his goalkeeping career and he can’t wait to start playing for his new club.
West Brom have appointed Steve Clarke as Roy Hodgson’s replacement, and the new manager is looking to take the club to new heights and hopes they can build on last season’s success. Clarke made Foster his first ‘signing’ of the summer.

West Brom recently signed Belgian international Yassine El Ghanassy on a season long loan from Gent and are said to be in talks with Tongo Doumbia, the highly rated midfielder from French club Rennes. Steve Clarke is hoping for one more signing before the
new Premier League campaign begins.
