West Bromwich Albion vs Aston Villa: Premier League Match Report - Part 1
Aston Villa travelled to The Hawthorns, to take on West Brom Albion in what was set to be a highly contested battle, with both the teams looking to extend their gap over the drop zone. Going into the game, Aston Villa were being hailed as the favourites, considering the fact that in the previous nine meetings between the two teams, Villa had won five times, while West Brom had not mustered a single win over them.

After that fine attempt from Mulumbu, the game became significantly quieter. Neither side looked to threaten each other and passes were flying all over the pitch.
However, amidst a terrible spell of football, the referee finally blew his whistle to signal the end of the half. The way things went in the opening forty five, at the half time break things looked like they could go either way and had it not been for a moment of stupidity from Meite, the score would have probably been all square till this point in the game.
