Lyon said the club's finals hopes were alive despite the 17-point defeat.

i think the saints did very poorly yesterday, i didnt even bother watching the rest of the game becuase for thr first time this year i was very dissapointed in my team. as ross said, max was injured and he is arguably our best backman. saints finals hopes are far from destroyed. if kangaroos win today we are out of the top 8 only by 2 points. saints have a very good chance of making finals still.

im just really sick of the media bagging saints when they lose, and not agknowleding them when they win. they can enver win with anyone, did we all forget we bet hawks just last week? i think people need to look at our positives rather then our negatives!

St Kilda should be kicking themselves because they really had the potential to win the game.  I don't think St Kilda are that great this season (even though they beat Hawthorn last week) but they will be very disappointed that they didn't win today.**

(no offense to those eagles supporters) A pretty good win by 3 goals against someone in the top 8 and someone who defeated hawthorn.Yes definitely  the saints will be kicking themselves and probaly killing each other (especially riewoldt) after letting this one slip.Saves the pies one spot in the top 8 and crushes the saints' hopes of getting the top 5.well not that much. Still i really am shocked.....

First of all Thor your an idiot. Now about the West Coast match, i think that it was a poor effort by the saints and have missed out on an opportunity for a spot in the top four. I'm not saying that they won't make the top four, only that it will much harder after the lose to West Coast.
