West Ham United looking to end Robbie Keane's misery
Bottom of the League side, West Ham United are reported to be looking to go ahead and make an official move for Tottenham's want away striker Robbie Keane.
The striker has spent a major portion of the last two seasons on the bench for the team and was told last month that he could leave the team, if the opportunity was to arise, as early
as January.
Teams such as Aston Villa, Wolves, Celtic and now West Ham have gone ahead and shown some positive signs of interest in landing the player and could sign the striker for as low as
five million pounds.
West Ham might potentially be losing their star striker Carlton Cole in January, as the striker went ahead and slammed Avram Grant's coaching techniques and then stated his discomfort
with staying at the club. As a result West Ham are reported to be looking to land a striker to fill in for the player once he makes the expected move away from the team and it seems like they have set their sights on Keane.
Despite the move looking to be a poor one, considering the fact that West Ham are playing some of the worst football in their recent history. The move might just be what Keane needs
on a personal level to help resurrect his career as a professional footballer. The player has spent far too much time on the bench off late and it is due time for him to get back on the pitch and prove his worth.
This term the player has managed to make only two Premier League starts and that is something that has hindered the thirty year old's progress. The player is now shy of scoring goals
as he has managed to score two hundred and five over the course of his careers and there is reason to believe that he still has his killer instinct in front of the goal, intact and waiting to be unleashed. West Ham could definitely use the experience that
Keane has up front and it might just prove to be what saves the team from getting relegated.
