West Ham United midfielder Jack Collison and West Bromwich Albion’s Graham Dorrans looking forward to return
Jack Collison looking forward to return
Jack Collison, the 22-year-old West Ham United midfielder, revealed he was hopeful of returning before the season ended. Collison is desperate to offer whatever he can to help his side avoid relegation; the Hammers are currently at 19th place
on the Premier League table, with just 32 points from 33 games. This makes the remaining six fixtures all the more important if they wish to avoid the drop this season.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 international has been sidelined for about nine months after undergoing surgery for cartilage damage he picked up on international duty. After the lengthy lay-off the Welsh midfielder is eager to return for his side and help them stay in the top
flight. Collison is expected to play for the reserves again as he prepares to return for West Ham.
Collison admitted he was hoping to return to first team action soon and said while speaking to reporters, “I am ready and looking to do my bit. I have only played a couple of reserve games, but I have been training for a long while now with the team. It
would be nice to have an opportunity between now and the end of the season to help the team out.”
Collison began his senior career with West Ham, signing a long term deal with them in 2007. Despite an injury plagued career, the midfielder has put in impressive performances for the Hammers. He has made a total of 44 appearances and has managed to score
five goals in the English Premier Legaue.
Graham Dorrans close to return
Graham Dorrans, the West Bromwich Albion midfielder, could be close to making a return for the Baggies if he is declared fit by the medical team. The 23-year-old suffered an ankle injury in training and has been out for six weeks now.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 international is hoping to return for 11th place West Brom in hopes of helping them get to a better position as the current season draws to a close. With only six games remaining, Roy Hodgson’s side need all the help they can get.
The West Brom assistant manager, Michael Appleton revealed there was very little time for Graham to regain full fitness and return for West Brom. However, Appleton revealed they did not want to rush the player in fear of making the injury worse.
The West Brom assistant manager said while speaking to reporters, “Graham is ticking along and doing his rehabilitation work, doing what is expected of him. Hopefully we might see him before the end of the season, fingers crossed.”
Appleton continued, “It would be foolish of us to start rushing players back in, especially when you've only got five games and five crucial games. You want to be sure that every player that starts or comes on is 100% fit.”
