West Ham dominated the start of the second half, and should have scored their third goal, when Hitzlsperger played a beautiful pass to Ba, who drilled a low shot just wide of the post. The visitors came close of scoring, when Gerrard played Suarez, the Uruguayan

Liverpool pulled one goal back in the 84th minute. Suarez showed great skills and played Glenn Johnson in the box, who finished calmly from six yards making it 1-2 for the hosts. The visitors looked for another goal, but their hopes of making
a comeback were dented when Carlton Cole scored the third of the evening for West Ham. The tall striker dispossessed Martin Skrtel and bamboozled http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jamie-Carragher-c17728 with a step over before finishing a low shot past Reina, to seal the game at 3-1.
West Ham United will play Stoke City in their next match on 5th March, while Liverpool take on Manchester United on 6th March.
