West Ham United v Manchester United – Second half review: English Premier League - Part 1
With the score line at two nil to West Ham United, Manchester United kicked off the second half with a bang, as Javier Hernandez was introduced into the fray at the half time break by Sir Alex Ferguson. United went all out for the win in the second 45 minutes. near the 47th minute mark.

ball away for the visiting side. In the 53rd minute, Ryan Giggs tried to dissect West Ham’s defence with a finely timed pass for Javier Hernandez, but Robert Green spotted the danger, and came out of his six yard box to gather the ball in for the
Hammers.
Manchester United’s strong start to the half was assisted by their monopoly on ball possession in the middle of the park. Michael Carrick and Darren Gibson did well to control the tempo of the match but West Ham’s resolute defence meant Sir Alex Ferguson’s

This mentality was further reinforced by Dimitar Berbatov’s introduction in the 64th minute as the Bulgarian target man replaced Park Ji Sung. Finally, the Red Devils pulled a goal back in the 65th minute as Wayne Rooney’s free kick
was found its way past Robert Green, as the Englishman whipped the ball around the West Ham United wall in order to give his team a fighting chance at Upton Park. With the score line at 2-1, Avram Grant made West Ham’s first change of the match as Carlton
Cole was replaced by Frederic Piquionne in the Hammers’ attack.
