West Ham United want Emmanuel Adebayor on loan
West Ham United want http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 on a loan deal from Manchester City, but the players' wages are creating problems in clinching a deal. The Hammers have agreed to pay a lucrative £100,000 to the player, but Adebayor seemed
reluctant to accept the offer.
Emmanuel Adebayor wants out of Manchester City, after failing to secure a permanent place in Roberto Mancini’s squad. Even his good performances, like a hat-trick in UEFA Europa League, have not been enough to change the managers
mind. All that has led the Togolese striker to make up his mind about leaving the club for good in January.
West Ham United is going through a crisis of its own. The East London club has failed miserably in English Premier League this season. They have failed to produce results in their matches, falling much below their standards. Right
now, West Ham are bottom of the league table, and face the potential threat of relegation. It would be devastating for the club and its supporters, who would not want their team to leave the Premier League.
Therefore, it is very important for West Ham to have a player like Emmanuel Adebayor in their side. At this moment, the Hammers face a crisis in both attack as well as in defence. The team has failed so far, and can only hope to
bring a talented player who can help keep them in the Premier League. So, the Hammers saw that Emmanuel Adebayor was available, and decided to take advantage of the situation.
It has been reported that the striker was approached with a lucrative offer of £100,000. However, Adebayor rejected the offer because it meant a significant wage cut for him. Currently, Manchester City are paying him £180,000 per
week, and Adebayor is not ready to fall below that. West Ham on the other hand, do not have those kinds of funds available, which might cause the deal not to go through as planned. City has already sent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Craig-Bellamy-c9471 away with a similar kind of deal, but Adebayor
wants to part ways permanently.
Going on a loan deal until the end of the season would mean that Adebayor will be stuck with City once again after the end of the season. But the striker has been frustrated by the club, and is not ready to spend any more time
with them. According to reports from Manchester City, the striker wants to leave permanently in January and is not ready to settle for a loan deal.
Unlike many clubs in English Premier League, City is paying hefty wages to its players, making them unavailable and unapproachable for most of other clubs. No club would be ready to pay the over-the-top wages for the player, which
leaves the club with no choice but to sell him in the January transfer window. Right now Emmanuel Adebayor is costing Manchester City £180,000 every week.
West Ham United on the other hand, would have to look for other options. They have the option of Jamie O’Hara, who spent last season with Portsmouth on a loan deal. However, O’Hara missed a lot of action due to a back injury and
he might turn out to be more of a liability for the club. Nevertheless, the Hammers will have to be active during the winter transfer window if they want to stay in the top flight of English football next season.
It seems for now that the Adebayor saga will continue for during the next month. In the end Adebayor will have to drop some of his demands, especially of high wages. Otherwise, he might remain with Manchester City for a little
longer, without playing any meaningful role in the team.
