The 30-year-old has urged his teammates to put behind their 2012 woeful performances, and start the 2013 year afresh by claiming all three points against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Hughton’s men on Tuesday.
West Ham United midfielder, Kevin Nolan, has expressed determination to claim a victory ahead of his side’s upcoming English Premier League game against Norwich City. The two sides will meet at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday, January 1.
The former Newcastle United midfielder has admitted that his side was far from their best against Reading on December 29, and deservingly suffered a 1-0 defeat.
In spite of starting the game brightly, the Hammers conceded an early goal against the run of play following a defensive error when James Collins’ back pass was intercepted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pavel-Pogrebnyak-c29501 at the edge of the box before coolly slotting home.
The visiting side tried their 100 percent to score the equaliser, but they failed to hit the back of the net in the remaining action of the game, and had to suffer a defeat at the end.
“We know it was not good enough from us on Saturday, but we are good enough to get back on it. We have been great and made a really good start. We have faltered a bit in recent weeks with losing a few, but some of those were against top sides. I have to
say this was one of the most disappointing losses because, with no disrespect to Reading”, Nolan was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
However, the Englishman has insisted that his side will try their utmost to put behind their abysmal performances and start afresh in the 2013 year by winning against Norwich City on Tuesday.
“We have to keep our heads up and have Norwich at home on New Year's Day and have got to be looking to put the record straight there. We are going through a little sticky patch but we are confident we can start picking up points again”, Nolan concluded.
West Ham United are currently occupying the 12th spot on the Premier League table, six points clear of the relegation zone.
