West Ham sign Sulejmani
West Ham United have signed Miralem Sulejmani on a season-long loan deal from Ajax.
Sulejmani becomes one of Avram Grant's first signings in charge of the East London club and the winger could be in line for a starting place for West Ham's first Premier League game against Aston Villa this weekend.
Sulejmani said: "I am happy that I will play in the strongest league in Europe. I think that I am up to the challenge and I am convinced that I will get the chance and the opportunities, as Avram Grant was very positive about my qualities."
The Ajax man has a number of qualities that he should display during his time at West Ham. However, it may take him a little while to settle in to the pace of English football.
Player qualities
Sulejmani is a very quick player, which makes him a threat on either wing of the pitch or playing up top as a striker. He can use this pace to get in behind defences to go one on one with the goalkeeper or to slide in a cross for another player. Any player who possesses a tremendous amount of pace is going to be very productive in the Premier League.
He's a great passer of the ball and this is not something that West Ham have. They have very gritty players in the midfield like Scott Parker who can keep the ball well. Sulejmani should give them a little more creativity and vision going forward.

He has a good amount of experience for someone who is only 21 years of age. He's already played 44 times for Ajax and scored 10 times in the process. This does not make him prolific but it shows that he's able to perform on the highest stage of European domestic football.
He's got genuine ambition and a desire to succeed. Ajax have a very large and deep squad and it would have been easy for him to sit on the bench and take his wages each week. However, he actively sought a move from the club to go and play football regularly for another team.
Betting advice
Sulejmani adds to West Ham in an attacking sense. He could score a goal at any time in any match. He also gives the team a greater chance of doing well against the weaker teams in the Premier League. Back them for these matches.
