"For me, Sachin has been the number one Indian batsman. Sometimes he has challenged me and at other times I have done so and we were very competitive. When we catch up there is respect from both sides," stated Walsh.

Courtney Walsh made his debut in test cricket in November 1985 and reached at the heights of taking 519 wickets in just 132 test matches. This achievement of West Indian bowler has given him the 5th position in most wickets taken category.
