The West Indies Cricket Board has confirmed that it has received an explanation-seeking letter from the veteran player and former captain, Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
The WICB also expressed disappointment that the media was seeking its reply to the letter even before it had received the letter.
The Chief of WICB explained in his reply to Chanderpaul that he could not comment on the media reports published by a famous cricket website.
He also asked Chanderpaul to refer to the original script of his comments available on WICB's official website in order to understand the context of his statement better.
Hilaire said that Chanderpaul has not mentioned any player’s name in the letter and his statements are entirely based on public reports and comments stated by former coaches.
The WICB chief  has informed the Windies batsman that his services are always very crucial for West Indies cricket team. He added that Chanderpaul has always been a very spectacular and useful player of West Indies. Ernest said that his performances have
always given great successes to the Windies.
Ernest is looking forward to see Chanderpaul continue his career in the West Indies cricket team, as WICB cannot afford to lose such a great player.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. In his glorious 268 ODIs, he has scored 8778 runs at an average of 41.60. He has so far scored 11 hundreds and 59 half centuries.
The chief told the media, “If you look at West Indies cricket since the mid-90s, a lot of the systems we had in place broke down. There's no discipline, there's no application. We've been doing that for 15 years and we've been losing. We need to put a new
system in place. No one man is bigger than the team, no one man is such a superstar he can decide if he is training today, if he's going to have treatment tomorrow, if he's going to attend a team meeting. It cannot work that way.”
ICB has accused WIPA of using every chance to its advantage and causing confusion and problems in West Indies cricket. WICB also said that the WIPA is offering wrong advises to the players for the purpose. The Board stressed the Association to refrain from
doing such acts and work in players' interest.
