Led by skipper Kraigg Brathwaite’s unbeaten half-century, the West Indies Under-19s clinched an easy 6-wicket win over the Zimbabwe Under-19s during their http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Under-19 World Cup 2012 match, today on August 16 at the Endeavour Park No 2 in Townsville.
The West Indies U-19 won the toss and elected to field first, and their bowling attack, led by Jerome Jones (10-0-40-2), Justin Greaves (6-0-28-2), and Akeal Hosein (10-3-16-2), succeeded in restricting the Zimbabwe U-19s to 148 by the end of 50 overs.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045 U-19s sent out Kevin Kasuza (18) and Luke Masasire (2) to open for them, with the two batsmen went on to post a combined total of 15 runs on the board after which Masasire was dismissed by Ronsford Beaton in the 7th over.

The West Indies U-19s, on the other hand, breezed through the chase, courtesy Player of the Match Brathwaite’s unbeaten 70.
The team got off to a shaky start at first, losing two wickets – Sunil Ambris (0) and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/John-Argentine-Campbell-c67325 (0) – in the 3rd over, at the hands of Kieran Geyle (5-0-28-2). However, Brathwaite managed to keep the innings progressing steadily, setting up
a 3rd-wicket 44-run stand with Anthony Alleyne (24).

the skipper for an unbeaten 59-run stand which got their team safely over the finish line, reaching 150 with 6 wickets and 89 deliveries remaining.
