Or has Australia lost it's way? Many people expected a whitewash by Aussies but in this test it failed to eventuate, & the first test was a bit iffy?

  1. A mixture of both plus the rain :)

First of all, if the rain hadnt taken 5 or 6 hours out of the game, Australia will have more than likely had enough time to take the last 5 wickets and win the game. The rain saved West Indies from defeat.

Australia arent the same side they were 3 years ago, but any side which has had McGrath, Warne, Langer and Hayden taken out the side isnt going to better off. They miss Warne so badly!! MacGill was a joke in that test match!! he could barely get a ball on target!! he also bowled a couple waist high full tosses!! (Good riddance MacGill) anyway Australia miss Warne's wicket-taking ability!! If Warne was playing in the match then Ponting would have thrown him the ball half way through the morning session and he would have probably bowled nearly all day!!. Australia obviously miss McGrath too!! Johnson has potential!! but he just cant get it straight enough!! Lastly Hayden and Langer were the best opening pair world cricket has seen in 20 years!! any team would miss there presence in the side.

West Indies on the other hand are improving, but very slowly!! they rely too much on Chanderpaul and Sarwan!! They need players like Bravo and Morton to start contributing more with the bat!!. West Indies also have there fire-cracker Chris Gayle to come back into the side!!. West Indies bowling attack has actualy impressed me!! The bowling attack has vastly improved since i last watched them (vs England).

Anyway to sum up, if there was no rain Australia would have won the match. BUT Australia are on the decline, BUT after losing so many legends!! any team would need to re-build!! I'm sure if there is 5 sunny days in the 3rd test, the Australia will win and win comfortably enough

  2. Well that's a good question mate...

No doubt It is a mixture of both(And yes the rain)...

Sarwan and Chanderpaul handled the bat brilliantly,Edwards did well with the ball, and we did well with both.

Yes the Aussie's are hurting over the loss of our great players like Justin Langer,Adam Gilchrist,Shane Warne,Glen McGrath and Damien Martyn, but i think the way our players have been copeing is great...

Can you imagine how India is going to go when they loose Tendulkar,Ganguly,Dravid And Laxman?....

Our batsmen are doing a good job,and the young one will only get better....We will be right mate-Have a bit of faith darling...pmsl

  3. Australia seem to be a little bit reliant on Brett Lee and Stuart Clark. When Jonson and MacGill came on, there wasn't as much pressure on West Indies.

Not sure if West Indies are improving: their batting seems to be being held together by Sarwan and Chanderpaul. Their bowling is OK, and the fielding has improved dramatically since last year.

Austrlalia could still have won both matches easily had the weather not intervened.

  4. yes,.. good thinking ,..i also think  the same,..Well played West Indies .if they really improve ,..i will be much happier man than sri lanka winning next ,...Asia cup in Bangladesh~

west indies is my dad's favourite cricket team,...

its funny when srilanka play with them he appreciate west indies players~

listen to ,...Greg Blewett: about ,..Chanderpaul

  5. they have improved with new coach coming

  6. Yes.Looking at the current situation, this game will end on a draw. When day 4 was ended, draw was expected & it is happening. The match is drawn with West Indies ending 266/5.Well played by chandreapaul.

  7. Yes WI is improving but Australia has lost just so many good players and they need some time to get back on the track which I think they will There's a lot talent in Australia they will definitely find some good players. they need  good bowlers though Clark and Lee are doing great

    And Nice question

  8. they did well, but Aus need to get their act together before the next test.

  9. WI are improving but the whitewash was not possible because the Australian's not the side day were.we cannot judge WI by their home games but their record away shows their place as a team.
