A fighting stand of 78 runs between skipper Misbah Ul Haq and Asad Shafiq has revived Pakistan’s hopes of winning the first Test at the Providence in Guyana.
The two came together with the tourists in a deep hole in their chase of 219 runs for a win. The top three batsmen perished with only two runs on the board as the hosts pushed for an elusive win.

When stumps were drawn for the day the two had taken their team to 80/3, 139 runs shy of the target with two days left in what has been an enthralling contest.
Asad Shafiq is not out on 40 while Misbah is batting on 34. Interestingly not even one fifty has been scored in the match yet.

Ajmal accounted for Sarwan who was well caught by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Carlton-Baugh-c49264, Darren Sammy and Ravi Rampaul in quick succession either side of the lunch interval, before the resistance between Chanderpaul and Bishoo.
