West Indies team bus attacked by angry mob in Bangladesh – ICC World Cup 2011 news
Angry Bangladesh fans have attacked the West Indies team bus when they were on their way back to their hotel from the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium after defeating the co-hosts in a one-sided match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2011.

Such a miserable defeat led the Bangladesh fans to attack the bus of Windies with stones. So far, no one has been reported hurt or injured in the attack.
The West Indian left-handed opening batsman Chris Gayle, who was in the bus at the time of the incident, Tweeted about the situation and said, “Bangladesh stoning our bus. Glass break. Can't believe. what next bullets! This is ridiculous. World Cup with
so many security and this happens. Big Joke. Trust me I'm not keen here.”
However, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Dhaka, Imtiaz Ahmed clarified that the attackers thought that the Bangladesh team was in the bus and were targeting the home team because of their poor show on the cricket field.
“They thought it was the Bangladeshi team bus and they hurled stones at it. The window panes were shattered, but no one was injured,” he said while talking to the press.
So far, no official reaction has come from the West Indies Cricket Board on the matter.
