West Indies v Australia - 2nd Test - Day 4 - Live Score and Update
Australia 311 & 73/3 (30.0 ov) v West Indies 257 - http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 lead by 127 runs with 7 wickets remaining
Trinidad: At stumps on the fourth day of the second Test between Australia and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, the Aussies lead by 127 runs with seven wickets in hand smashing 73 runs for the loss three wickets, after restricting the hosts on a first innings total of 257 runs.
The day was cut short due to rain, which prevented play to resume after tea, leaving http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978 on three.
With the top batsmen still standing, Australia would be aiming to increase their lead by 200 runs before the end of the first session tomorrow and then bowl-out West Indies in order to win the match.
On the other hand, the best chance for West Indies to save the series is to go for a draw and hope to bounce back in the next match, as they are already one down in the series and losing the second match would take away the home series from them.
Earlier, Windies resumed their first innings from 252 runs for the loss of nine wickets, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CS-Baugh-c1293 on 17 and FH Edwards on nil.
However, West Indies' luck ran out on the fourth day as they failed to keep the Aussies at bay, the way they did on the third day, when the Australians were made to suffer while bowling in the early sessions of the day.
Today, the Aussies wrapped up the West Indies innings early by dismissing Edwards, without a run to his name.
The demise of the West Indies batsmen brought the Aussies in the middle soon, which apparently gave them a whole day to bat, but rain kept interrupting play, preventing the Aussies to really take charge.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/DA-Warner-c1301, just like the first innings, failed to play a big knock as he became the first wicket from his side to fall, after scoring 17 runs.
His wicket was taken by fast bowler http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KAJ-Roach-c1758, who later turned out to be the only bowler for the hosts to dismiss the Australians as he finished with three wickets to his name.
