West Indies v India – Bowling Comparison: No match between the two teams
West Indies and India will take on each other in the third of the five match One Day International (ODI) series at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.
The visitors are currently leading the ODI series by two games to none and look set to win the series with a comprehensive margin. Even though, majority of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s senior players are not available in this series, but the world champions still look a better
unit than the Caribbean team in all the departments of the game.
India looks to be a much more balanced bowling attack than the home team and their strength has been the spinners. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Mishra-c871 has been the best bowler in the first two ODIs so far. He bowled without much luck in the first match but was rewarded in the second
ODI with four wickets as he broke the back of the West Indian batting lineup.
Mishra impressed one and all with his variations and big heart in the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has now transformed the same kind of talent at the international level. Mishra has the quality of becoming a world-class leg spinner
as he has all the needed variations under his belt. He is surely going to be a real threat for the Caribbean batsmen in the remainder of the series.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453 looked off-colour in the second ODI and failed to trouble the batsmen on a track which was actually assisting the slow bowlers. He is a world class operator and would love to lead the Indian bowling attack as he is also the vice-captain of
this young team.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/YK-Pathan-c2815 is the real challenge for the home team.
On the other side of the coin, West Indian bowling has looked extremely ordinary in the series so far and never looked like troubling the Indian batsmen.
A lot of people think that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 does not have enough pool of high-class cricketers at the moment but this is not true. The Caribbean islands are still producing rich talent but unfortunately for the game, West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) does not
look interested in getting the best use of it.
Majority of the cricket analysts are just talking about the absence of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CH-Gayle-c1221 but it is the bowling department of the West Indies which is suffering a great deal.
The likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Benn-c47745 are proven high-class bowlers at the international level but for some unknown reason, they have been sidelined in recent times.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 but they need support from the other end as well.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KAJ-Roach-c1758 has been brought back in the team for the third ODI and he will be raring to go after being left out of the first two matches. He has got pace and possesses the ability to move the ball off the seam, so he could turn out to be a good inclusion
as the Indian batsmen are not at their best against high class fast bowlers.
At the present moment, there is no match between the bowling attacks of the two teams and India is likely to clinch the series against a depleted West Indian line-up.
