The Men in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Green-c60723 are leading the ODI series 1-0 and their bowlers have set them a nice platform to make it 2-0 before both the teams head to Barbados for the third match.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Khan-c71319 bowled well at the start of the West Indian innings but failed to make any inroads
as the Windies were off to a promising start. However, they lost way pretty soon and failed to cope with the wily spinners of Pakistan.
Lendl Simmons proved once again that he has the potential to become a destructive top order batsman if he is persisted by the selectors. The right hander played some delightful shots all round the field and looked threatening at one stage before he was dismissed
by the Pakistan captain.
Majority of the home team’s batsmen were off to impressive starts but they could not carry on and convert them into big knocks. As a result, the home team lost 9 wickets for just 193 runs on the board before Kemar Roach and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Anthony-Martin-c45051 scored 27 runs
for the last wicket. The former was run out off the very last ball of the innings.
Simmons remained the top scorer for the home team as he made a superb 51 off only 48 balls in which he struck 4 boundaries and managed a couple of massive hits out of the park. Marlon Samuels and Kemar Roach scored 29 and 24 runs respectively.
Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz, Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi picked up a couple of wickets each to halt the West Indian progress. Hammad Azam claimed his first international scalp when he got the better of Samuels.
Afridi and company chased down a similar kind of a total in the first ODI and it will take a huge effort from the West Indian bowlers if they are to stop Pakistan from taking a formidable lead in the series.
