second highest scoring batsman’s title, he is still ignored by the WICB.
As for the Caribbean star’s national team, the touring West Indies squad is currently gearing up to face the Bangladeshi hosts in their opening, one-off T20 match, which kicks off tomorrow, October 11, 2011, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Based on speculations, many believe that Gayle’s inclusion on his national T20 squad may have been an added advantage for the tourists, since the hard-hitting all-rounder has been quite active and effective under the format after his exclusion from the team
since the last World Cup.
