West Virginia is for lovers?

I was looking for a Honeymooning location for late May and thought of West Virginia. West Virginia is so beautiful and would be a nice place to just gush with joy and beauty after we are husband and wife and it is within a reasonable day's drive from our Western NY State location.

Where are good honeymooning locations in West Virginia? What is late May like in West Virginia? Will it likely be overly warm?

I just got back from a road trip taking my daughter to grad school in  West Virginia. I would say it is not really not a lot different from any where else. It was like western Pennsylvania but with less people. I also drove from Pittsburgh to the New River gorge in southern WV in mid May this year and found the weather to be quite nice. Specially, the humidity which was lower than in Pittsburgh.

For a honeymoon, go someplace really special, like San Francisco. Or if on a budget, someplace you can drive to within a day like Toronto or Montreal.

Go to southern WV.. Fayette County. You can rent a gorgeous cabin.. some of the cabins are so nice that they have a full kitchen, hot tub... they are soo nice and private.

theres also so much you can do.. from relaxing to fishing to exploring some beautiful trails, white water rafting... the possibilities are pretty endless.

It will still be cool in May.

Actually Virginia is the state that claims to be for lovers but I live in Virginia and I don't see it!!! Sorry I don't know anything about W Virginia.
