Western Australia maintained a dominant position on the second day of their ongoing Sheffield Shield match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground in Perth on November 13, where they declared at a solid first innings total
of 400, before reducing the Redbacks to 209 for 6 by stumps on day 2.
The match had kicked off with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marcus-Harris-c1897 held firm at the crease for a solid 114-run contribution.
He was joined by skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Voges-c925 (47) for a 120-run partnership for the fourth wicket, which got the team up to 180 by the 61st over.
Voges was eventually sent packing, and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Chadd-Sayers-c49520, but
his successor http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 for a 70-run 7th-wicket contribution, which got the team total up to 322.
Coulter-Nile was sent back to the pavilion by Mennie in the 94th over, and by stumps on day 1, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 were at 327 for 7.
Day 2 saw Marsh bringing his individual total up to 73, in addition to teaming up with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Beer-c1949 (4*)

– however, their efforts eventually went in vain.
The Redbacks then stepped up to the crease for their first innings – opener Sam Raphael (12) was not able to contribute much (dismissed by Johnson in the 7th over), but http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Klinger-c76093 (37) joined forces for a solid 119-run
stand for the second wicket.
Klinger was eventually trapped lbw by Beer, while Hughes was run out, leaving the team at 159 for 3. Hughes' score remained the highest for the Redbacks on day 2, but it had little effect in terms of steadying the team’s innings.
Travis Head only managed to contribute 14 before Hogan took him out of the game, and Marsh polished off the rest, dismissing both http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Daniel-Christian-c1308 (8). By stumps on day 2, the Redbacks found themselves at 209 for 6, trailing by 191,
with skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Tim-Ludeman-c2672 (6*) at the crease.
