Question:

Western Forehand Pros?

Well, just last month after the season was over, my coach told me I am ready to make a transitin from semi-western to full western grip.

We had drills ever since but the coach noticed the inconsistency of my swings. I realized that my swings lack a lot of strength and the ball tends to hit the net from my swings.

I also notice that inorder to hit the ball more higher, I have to fold back my hand until it looks perpendicular to my wrist which is actually the same for my serves (Continental grip).

Any western grip pros care to describe their follow through every time they hit a ball with this grip. The one who puts the most effort will win points.

Can anyone tell me if I am doing it right.

  1. Read this thread -> http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthrea... .  There are videos there to show you how the pros do western forehand too.  Good luck :)

  2. u have to get under the ball. u cant just go directly at it. it is harder to win points because it adds a lot of top spin.
