Western Haunted B&B/Hotels?

Question

Looking for a summer vacation at a haunted inn, B&B, or hotel. Should be an easy search for myself but I want to go somewhere that isn't well known yet, where hundreds of others haven't gone for the same reason. Anyone know of any "unknown" haunted places (NV,AZ,CA,UT preferably).

I doubt that you're  going to find a haunted one that hasn't been advertised as haunted.  I worked at a B&B in N. Fl. Several of us felt there was a ghost there. Once I was upstairs & thought the receptionist had come out of the room behind me & gone down the stairs. When I asked her..she said she hadn't been upstairs. Others reported instances too..but there weren't enough to make a big deal over it & advertise it as haunted.

If it is known to be haunted the hotel will probably play on that fact for business. The best I expect you could do is one in a small town that simply doesn't get a lot of business under normal circumstances.

There is a book called "The National Directory of Haunted Places" by Dennis Hauck most book stores will carry it and some libraries have copies and it lists hauntings by state and city.

Hotels that let it be known they are haunted are usually very well known and sought out. Even those who do l not like to be known as a haunted hotel but are have been written up as haunted have much business with people like yourself.

I suggest if you want to have an experience in a place that is not known to be haunted research the area you will be traveling in and the history and pick a location you like based on the history and location. It is reasonable to believe you will have just much a chance of experience ghosts there as anywhere.

My experience with ghosts is they do not perform on command. They either appear to you or they do not. Places that  are not supposed to have ghosts sometimes do and those that are supposed to have ghosts are really not any more like to have them than any other place.
