if a person lives in the address that the money is sent to, and he has all the senders in formations, name, amount, confirmation number, can he receive money if his name is different? i mean are they strict about the name in the UK? I want to send money to someone as a payment but i want to use my friends name and that persons address, and i want to show that person the confirmation number so he can check on line that the money is really there. is it true that only the receiver person can get the money? can sender get it back? can sender later change the receiver's name? i want to show this guy that i have the money for him but i want to be able to give it to him only after we meet. any advice?

  1. The person who receives the Western Union must show reliable government ID (such as a driver's license) before they can pick up the money.

Once you wire money you generally can't get it back.

I would be careful about sending Western Union or other money orders especially to international locations. It is very easy to get scammed and you'll have no recourse.
