Western and Chinese Astrologers: Could Western and Chinese astrology go together?

Or do they contradict each other?

I'm a Leo (in Western terms) and the year of the Fire-Rabbit (Chinese astrology) and based on what I've studied and read so far it seems to go hand-in-hand with me for the most part. Of course no sign can truly depict who or what you are as a person but they are more of a "general direction" sort.

This question is directed for those who practice or somewhat believe in astrology, either western, chinese, or both (if your not into astrology/against it you probably won't be able to get this question or at least look into it with an open mind, so if you don't have an answer to what I'm asking then please don't comment, I'm not interested in hearing one's opinion of astrology).

So anyways, for those who practice either (or both) forms of astrology, could they go hand in hand or do they clash? How and why?

Hmm I don't know, but aren't Leos Monkeys in Chinese astrology?

Isn't there like Inner Animals which is determined by the month and Secret Animals which is determined by hour of birth. I'm a Monkey or Goat or something in year astrology and my Inner Animal is Dog and Secret is Snake.

I suppose I study both but really, I think Western is more accurate, just imo, but I guess they can go together but they aren't supposed to.

Edit - Mmhmm I know. But look up "Inner animals chinese astrology" and you'll get what I mean.. Like in Western Astrology thhere is more to it than Sun signs there is more to Chinese astrology.
